LUCKY ESCAPE. Motor Cycle Hits Diesel Car. The driver of a motor cycle, Dudley Blight (18), of Helena-street, East Guildford, and a pillion passenger, Ronald Chatfield (18), of West Swan-road, Caversham, had a lucky escape from serious injury when the motor cycle crashed into the side of a diesel rail car at the Meadow-street railway crossing, Guildford, about 12.5 p.m. yesterday. The diesel car was travelling towards Midland Junction and the motor cycle was going in the direction of Perth. Blight suffered slight injuries to his head and Chatfield received an injured right ankle and abrasions. They were taken to private hospitals in a Midland Junction St. John ambulance. Blight was treated and allowed to go home, and Chatfield was detained for treatment. The motor cycle was extensively damaged.
