HARDY- CHATFIELD WEDDING

A WEDGWOOD blue brooch, 78 years old and in Faith, Hope, and Charity design, finished the bride's toilette at the wedding of Miss Eva Beryl Chatfield and Mr. Eric Frederick Hardy, which was celebrated last evening in St. Andrew's Church of England, Lutwyche, by the Rev. J. H. Brown-Beresford.

Mr. E. F. Hardy and his bride (formerly Miss Eva Beryl Chatfield) cutting the cake at their wedding reception last evening.

THE bridegroom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Hardy, Nundah, and the bride, who was given away by Mr. Arthur Stower, is the third daughter of Mrs. F. A. CHATFIELD, Windsor, and the late Mr. George Chatfield.

Bishop sleeves were a feature of the bride's gown of ivory satin, and the Peter Pan collar was pinned with the Wedgwood blue brooch lent by Mrs. K. C. Bytheway (Wilston). Her veil of white tulle (lent by Mrs. R. Atwell, Nanango) was arranged with a halo of lilies-of-the-valley, and she carried white carnations, stephanotis, and lilies-of-the-valley. The bride's two sisters, Mrs. G. L. Symes and Miss Valma Chatfield. were the matron of honour and bridesmaid respectively. The matron of honour was frocked in sweetheart pink georgette over taffeta, and wore a tulle veil with a matching bow. The bridesmaid's matching frock was of net over taffetas and her tulle veil was arranged with a pink floral halo. Both carried pink bouquets. Mr. G. L. Symes was best man and Mr. Ken Hardy groomsman. A reception was held at Prince's, where Mrs. Chatfield received the guests frocked in maize sheer. She wore a hat to tone, and carried an autumn-toned bouquet. The bride grooms mother favoured a navy sheer frock and matching hat, and a shoulder spray of Sunburst roses. Leaving for the honeymoon, which will be spent touring the North Coast, the bride wore a navy bolero costume with while lapels, and a navy toque.
