It's always nice to hear from former El Pasoans . . . a note from Helen CHATFIELD, the former Helen Fryer of El Paso tells of her work as a reporter for the Skagit Valley Herald in Mount Vernon, Washington. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Fryer of El Paso. Mr. Fryer was a prominent criminal lawyer for many years in El Paso. Helen worked here for radio station KROD and was active in Little Theatre. She and her six children moved to Oak Harbor, Wash. following the death of her husband, Col. James D. CHATFIELD, who was in the USA Air Force. She says she is enjoying the gorgeous view and the life in a small Naval Air Station town.
