SANTA BARBARA, Cal. April 5.––
Mrs. Rose Chatfield-Taylor, wife of Hobart Chatfield Chatfield-Taylor, died tonight. Last Sunday Mrs. Chatfield-Taylor underwent an operation for appendicitis, and while her condition was serious, it was considered favorable until pneumonia developed.

For many years she had been a leader in Chicago Society.

LATEST TRADE UNION DEMAND
CHICAGO, Dec 23
Mrs. Chatfield-Taylor, who is a well known Chicago society leader, is an amateur book binder, and has recently bound a good many volumes written by her friends in art covers.
Now the Bookbinders' Union threatens the publishers for whom the books are bound with a universal strike that will affect every publisher's office in Chicago unless Mis Chatfield-Taylor joins their union.
