The engagement is announced of Elizabeth Anne, second daughter of Mr and Mrs A P Julius, of Turramurra, to Samuel Ian, only son of Mr and Mrs S Chatfield of Burwood.

A wedding took place at St. Luke's Church, Rurwood, on September 11, when Mr. Samuel CHATFIELD, eldest son of the late Mr. Samuel Chatfield and Mrs. Chatfield. Weldon, Burwood, was married to Miss Mabel Howe, third daughter of the late Mr. William Howe and Mrs. Howe, Glenlee, Concord. The church was prettily decorated by girl friends. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. Claydon. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. Norman Howe, wore white chiffon taffeta, with a Honiton lace veil and wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet, and wore a gold bracelet watch, the gifts of the bridgeroorn. The bridesmaids were Miss Mildred Howe and Miss Mabel Chatfield. sisters of the bride and bridegroom. They wore white, their white hats, being trimmed with pale blue satin and small flowers. They also wore gold bangles and carried posies of violets, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. Stanley Riley acted ns best man, and Mr. Leonard Giblin as groomsman. Among those present were:—Mrs. CHATFIELD, Mrs. Howe, Mrs. Bray. Mr. Mackensie (Arnold Grove). Mrs. Cropper.
