Fashionable Weddings.
On February 15, at St. James's Church, Mr. George Chatfield King, only son of Mr. Robert J. King, of Waratah, Bondi, was married to Miss Lillian Rus- sell, youngest daughter of Mr. H. C. Ruassell, Gov- ernment Astronomer. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a trained gown of white pongee silk, bridal veil, and flowers, the bodice of the dress being trimmed with the Indian lace worn by her mother on her wedding day. Her sister, Miss Jeanie Russell, acted as bridesmaid, her dress being of pale blue pongee silk with small frilled scarf of white mousseline de soie, with bridesmaid's veil and flowers. Mr. Alfred Sendall, of Goulburn, was best man. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the bride. After the ceremony, Mrs. Russell held a reception at the Observatory, where between forty and fifty guests assembled-relations of the bride and bridegroom. The rooms were pret- tily decorated with palms and flowers.
