There is another Jonathan, nephew, who many seem to have mixed up.

Was one of those who volunteered in Capt. Bristol's Co. in the call to East Haven, July 9, 1779. On the 10th he enlisted in the Seventh Regiment, and served until Oct. 1, when he was honorably discharged.
