A wedding, in which the bride was a well-known Wellington girl, took place on 17th December at Claygate, Surrey, England, when Mr. Norman Shore Nye, eldest son of Mr. Harvey Nye, was married to Miss Minnie CHATFIELD, youngest daughter of Mr. W. C. CHATFIELD, Hurston, Island Bay. The bride wore an Empire frock of ivory poplin, with trimmings of satin, silver, and beautiful lace, and her large brown and cream hat was wreathed with roses and foliage in tones of brown. Brown furs completed the picturesque costume. She was given away by her cousin, Mr. Chas. Derby, and had one little bridesmaid, Mrs. Gaye's daughter, who wore pink silk and a wreath of pink daisies.
After the ceremony the guests were entertained at Mrs. Gaye's house. The bride's travelling frock was of navy blue braided, and her hat was also of blue. The honeymoon was spent at Brighton, and their home is to be in Croydon.
