BEAVER CREEK, OH - Born in Arkansas to Ezra E. and Wilhelmina (Miller) Tessneer, Ken was raised in Racine, WI. After leaving the Navy, he married Roberta (Glidden), his loving wife of 45 years. Ken earned an engineering degree from the University of Wi and soon became an engineer at WPAFB. Ken was a perpetual student, earning more degrees and spreading his love of knowledge. He raised homing pigeons, built and flew radio-controlled airplanes, went birding, fishing, and camping. Other interests included amateur radio (N8AEG), carving, painting, writing, cooking, and the secrets of the universe. As an enthusiastic volunteer, he was a Cub Master and helped the Boy Scouts. In retirement, he kept busy by taking classes, leading nature walks, building birdhouses, and becoming a Master Gardener. He had traveled the world, enjoying making new friends, and told fascinating stories. Ken leaves his wife, Aimee Voehringer, His brother Marvin of Las Cruces, NM, and sister Shirley (Jim) Woodward of Racine, Wi, four children: Mark (donna) Tessneer of Beavercreek, OH; Michael (Ann) Tessneer of Harris, MN; Jill (Glenn) Chatfield of North Liberty, IA and Wendy (Kendrick) Barker of Middleville, MI; 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beavercreek Wetlands Association, Box 42, Alpha, OH 45301.
