Born Aug. 18, 1909, in Waurika, to Henry and Maggie Swarnes Strader, she died July 9, 2002, in Ardmore.
Married to William Richard Chatfield on Nov. 15, 1952, in Ardmore, she was a former member of the Garden Club and B&PW in Denton, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 1, 1998, and two brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Frankye M. Miller, Ardmore; sisters, Geraldine Belz, Keene, Texas, Hazel Oliver and Edna Strader, Ardmore; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
