Daughter of Daniel Grinnell and Lydia Pabodie Grinnell, she was the great granddaughter of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins of the Mayflower. She married Theophilus Redfield on 24 Dec 1706 and settled in Killingworth, Connecticut. She bore thirteen children, all attaining adulthood and having children of their own.
